Welcome to Class 6!
Class Teacher: Miss Highfield
Teaching Assistant: Miss Jones
Children in class 6 are working extremely hard and are having lots of fun too.
Our topic for the autumn term is ‘The Wonderful World of Roald Dahl’ which is very interesting. So far, we have read the Twits and have been linking our writing to the story. We will also be reading ‘The Witches’ and ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine.’ In history, we will be looking at the Titanic focusing on what the Titanic looked like inside, what caused it to sink and who was on board the ship.
In maths, so far this term, we have been looking at place value using lots of practical equipment to help us along with using word problems and puzzles for a challenge. We will be focusing on addition and subtraction along with shape and measure as the term progresses.
This term we have been going swimming every Tuesday afternoon. Our swimming skills and confidence in water are improving every week.
We will keep you posted with all the exciting things we get up to this autumn term.

What’s been going on in Class 6?
We have been so busy in Class 6. We really enjoyed our visit to Inspire2Learn; our recent Forest Schools lesson; and a visit from Leah’s pet snake Marv!
