Welcome to Class 6!
After an exceptional Autumn term, we have already made a fantastic start to the Spring term. We are engrossed by our class novel, The Butterfly Lion, and through this have been exploring African animals and landscapes in our topic lessons, including taking a virtual safari. We have been writing biographies of Michael Morpurgo and this has linked to some outstanding homework, too!
In science we have become very practical and hands-on, exploring types of rock and how they are formed. Ask us about how Ronnie the Rock has changed over millions of years! This study will soon take us to explore fossils and the work of some famous scientists.
After half term, our history topic will be Romans: What did they ever do for us? We hope we will be able to answer that question after lots of work on how they ruled and invaded and what they invented, alongside an exciting trip to Vindolanda and the Roman Army museum.
We will continue to enjoy guitar lessons and also develop our sporting skills, including some out-of-school trips such as Hoopstarz, Netball and Cross Country!
