Welcome to Class 7!
In Class 7, our motto is “the sky is no limit to what we can do” because we aim high in whatever we are doing!
Our teacher is Mr Waller who enjoys planning lots of exciting learning activities and opportunities for the Year 4 and Year 5 children at Wynyard Church of England Primary School.
Our topic for the Autumn term is “Tapestry of Nations” and we are currently learning about different cultures from around the world. We are also looking at the history of Great Britain through the history of the railways. We are enjoying exploring “The Railway Children” by E.S. Nesbit and took part in drama activities before creating our own narratives based on the classic text.
In English, we are learning about a range of concepts including clauses, subordination and fronted adverbials as well as exploring the story of “When Marnie Was There” by Joan G. Robinson.
In Mathematics, we have looked at the properties of different 3-D shapes and enjoyed creating our own shapes using nets before labelling them according to their properties.
In Science, we are looking at the work of famous scientists and inventors such as David Attenborough and Margeret Hamilton and the impact they have had on the world.
