This term our topic is “Magical Worlds” and we have enjoyed learning about “Harry Potter” by J.K. Rowling through lots of exciting reading and writing activities. Last term we enjoyed learning about the magical world of “Mary Poppins” by P.L. Travers and enjoyed making Kites so we could “fly them to the highest height!”
In history and geography we are learning about the city of London including the Great Fire of London. We also going to be learning about the different landmarks of London in preparation for our residential visit in May 2020. We will also be exploring the country of Greece including Ancient Greece. We will also explore the world of Greek Myths through through an art project based on Ray Harryhausen.
In Science, we have been exploring “Forces” through our special project based on the Titanic Disaster.
In RE, we have been looking at Judaism and Easter in the run up to this special Christian festival.

What’s been happening in Class 11?
We really enjoyed our visit to the Beamish open-air museum in December 2019! We have been learning about the history of Titanic and the impact it had on the world and look forward to our Forest School sessions each half term!
