Welcome to Class 13!
Class teacher: Miss Lowes
Teaching Assistants: Miss Menezes
Welcome to the Spring Term in Year 6! It’s a busy one for us as we are working hard preparing for the upcoming Key Stage 2 tests in May, as well as fitting in lots of other exciting activities!
Our topic this term is World War Two and we are currently studying the events of the Holocaust, coinciding with Holocaust Memorial Day. We have been learning about the life and legacy of Anne Frank, which culminated in writing her biography. Alongside this, we are reading our class novel ‘Once’ by Morris Gleitzman.
In Science we are studying the circulatory system and have recently created our own 3D models of the heart.
We have a number of upcoming activities planned, such as the swimming gala, netball and tag rugby competitions, and a trip to the Newcastle Theatre Royal to see a professional production of the novel ‘Holes.’
