Welcome to Class 9!
Class teacher: Mr Dixon
Teaching Assistant: Mrs McRitchie
Hi and welcome to Class 9. We are having a splendid time at the moment, learning about the sometimes beautiful, sometimes gory times of the ancient Egyptians!
So far, we have learnt about the ways that Egyptians mummified the dead, and even tried mummifying our own piece of fruit. Soon, we look forward to learning about the pyramids, the discovery of Howard Carter, and will study how the Egyptians farmed the fruitful banks of the Nile, including an excellent ‘Topic week’.
In maths, we have focussed on place value so, and have been learning about the value of each digit in four digit numbers.
In these strange times, we have been ultra-careful about sanitising our hands and keeping our distance where we can – we are still having fun though!
We will keep you posted if there is anything else…now back to ancient Egypt!
