At Wynyard, our Science curriculum encourages children to become life-long learners and understand the world around them through engaging with specific academic disciplines. Children at Wynyard foster innate curiosity about how we live as humans and embark on a journey of self-discovery through acquiring new scientific knowledge and skills to answer their own logical questions. In order to answer these questions, our children access a robust sequence of learning experiences, which provide scientific enquiry opportunities within specific contexts; each one planned, systematic and progressive. This approach to science enables children at Wynyard to become locally and globally responsible citizens.
