Headteacher’s Welcome

A warm welcome to Wynyard Church of England Primary School! On behalf of myself, the staff and governors, I hope you enjoy finding out more about our school community.

Wynyard CE Primary is a happy, caring school which opened in September 2015 with only 16 pupils. Since then, we have grown rapidly and now have over 420 pupils on roll. Our journey has always been shaped by a clear vision: that every child and every family grows with us, experiencing life in all its fullness. This means creating a school where children feel known, valued and inspired, and where learning is rooted in joy, curiosity and shared purpose.

We believe that children thrive in an environment where they are happy, challenged and secure. Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff team work together to provide the best possible education, outcomes and experiences for our children. We are committed to nurturing each child’s unique talents, supporting them to flourish academically, socially and spiritually as they grow into confident, compassionate individuals.

Our engaging and ambitious curriculum is designed to ensure all children meet their full potential, both academically and personally. Alongside this, we offer a wealth of enrichment opportunities and extra‑curricular activities so that every child can discover and develop their talents. Whether through music, art, sport, STEM or wider community experiences, we aim to open doors, broaden horizons and help children recognise the many possibilities ahead of them.
